"The principal characters, David (Michael Lopetrone) and Nina (Eileen Sugameli)... performances exude grace, authenticity and maturity, with a particular knack for plumbing the complicated depths of their quickly intensifying and even more rapidly evolving interpersonal linkage."
- Thinking Theatre NYC (Hidden @ Chain Theatre)

"[...] Lopetrone is a powerhouse who dominates the stage in this performance with a compelling performance that often leaves the audience hanging on the edge of their seats in focused silence."

Press

"Lopetrone has a great sense of the character and amps up his desperation in just the right balance to keep daylight between his Biff and Willy."
- Encore Michigan (Death of A Salesman @ Flint Rep)

Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michael started acting as a teenager and continued throughout high school. Later on he headed to Kalamazoo to get his BA in Theatre Performance at Western Michigan University. After graduating, Michael landed in Detroit, which quickly became an artistic home for him — working at theaters like Detroit Public Theatre, Flint Repertory Theatre, and many others. He’s now based in NYC but always has a love for the Motor City.

In Detroit, Michael helped develop and produce the award-winning independent short film, Thick Air, in which he also starred. He has appeared in commercials for Michigan Lottery and Bigby Coffee, including a spot directed by Jeff Daniels. Michael is also an associate artist at Flint Repertory Theatre.
